Prior to 2023, this competition was known as the vice-Captain’s Away Day.  As suggested by the title, each successive vice-Captain would organise a competition at a course which we did not normally play.

Our 2023 vice-Captain, Graham Cartwright, organised his day at Wheatley GC, Doncaster on 11 August but sadly died 3 days later.

This prompted the committee to provide a new trophy for this competition and they decided that henceforth it would be known as the Graham Cartwright Memorial Trophy.  The first winner was Phil Mitchell with 37 points.
